May 2013

May is already over and I hardly got any posts up last month! Here are some of my favorite pictures from last month:

The cutest boys in the whole world:

The spend a lot of time playing together now, which is awesome! And also fun to watch. In the pictures below they are sitting on their children's table pretending that it is a train.

And here they are sitting in a large cardboard box which has become their car!

More box photos. I drew a few parts on their and punched a hole for the ignition. They loved it!

Elliott wanted to be wrapped up like Oliver after a bath and thought it was hilarious!

Oliver watches intently as Nick trims his toe nails. I thought it was so bizarre that I had to take a picture.

guitar

We're not sure why he is singing with his eyes closed, but cute nonetheless!

hanging with uncle

We had a nice visit with Uncle Evan a few weeks ago. Oliver was pretty much stuck to him like glue and even convinced him to spend a night in the top bunk of his bunk bed. Here are (mostly) Evan's pictures from the trip.

Oliver found this pedal car at the park and fell in love with it!

ladybugs

We bought some lady bugs for our garden today to take care of the little pests eating our plants. Before letting them go we did a bit of research on them and discovered that it's best to release them with moisture. How perfect for a rainy day! We also learned that the babies look like tiny alligators and Oliver has been asking us all afternoon how alligators turn into ladybugs. Wouldn't that be quite a sight! The boys had fun releasing them and Oliver brought a few inside to keep as pets.

low tides

The boys had fun at Golden Gardens on Friday. The tide was really low and there were many creatures to explore in the tide pools! We saw crabs, starfish, geoducks (which are a type of clam), birds and trains.
getting ready to explore
geoduck! Oliver and Tessa had fun poking them and watching them sink back into the sand and spray water over a foot tall.
digging
starfish! we saw several.
