train hat

He loves his new hat that we found at a used kid's store today. It matches his engineer overalls perfectly.

crowbar

Oliver demonstrates a useful skill that all toddlers should know how to do. . .

Oliver picks his first tomatoes of the season! I wonder if his parents will get to eat any?

pregnant bellies

Here are some of the other moms that Oliver and I get together with regularly. All four of us are due sometime in the next 4 months! And our firstborns are all October 2009 babies. Since Jamie is due in just a few days, we had to hurry up and take the picture.
Szu-Yu - due in September with a boy, Me and Jess - due in December with boys, Jamie - due in 11 days with a girl!

dump truck

One of the many reasons Oliver loves dump trucks and Jim Baer. They were doing this for over an hour yesterday.

laugh

A few clips of Oliver's evil laugh. He started doing this a few weeks ago, and we get a kick out of him doing it on cue. If you call him, he'll probably do it for you over the phone.

Seafair

It was Seafair weekend, which means lots of Blue Angels and hydroplanes on Lake Washington. Nick gets in for free since Boeing is one of the sponsors, so he took Oliver for the first time this afternoon. Oliver had a blast, and has been signing "airplane" all evening (although now his airplane does tricks in the air :) ) They had so much fun that Oliver even skipped his nap, which is unheard of. I have a feeling this will become an annual event for the boys!
enjoying the sights
blue angels
there were lots of kid activities as well, including a chance for Nick and Oliver to direct the evening news

thirsty

baby clothes

Today I went through all of Oliver's baby clothes from Newborn to 6 months to see what had stains, and what we'll need for the new baby. I was shocked at how little clothes we had for Oliver for the first three months of his life. I think we got by because we mostly stayed inside and he just wore blankets. I have a feeling the new little guy will be spending a lot more time outside early on, because it's hard to keep Oliver inside. It was also the perfect weather for sunning the stained clothes (and it won't be come December).

meanwhile, Nick worked on this

and Oliver did lots of this

wedding

Here are some pictures of the wedding we attended last weekend. It was a beautiful wedding on a gorgeous day. It was also Oliver's first wedding, and he outlasted the other kids at our table, who were a few years older, so we were impressed.

dirt mover

Nick and Oliver went to a rock yard on Saturday morning while I was at yoga to pick up some compost for some new plants in our front yard. Somebody had a little too much fun! When I pulled up, Oliver was wearing a t-shirt, shoes and a hat, on all fours in a huge pile of dirt. He had apparently given up the shovel for his hands. This is what he looked like (notice the raccoon eyes from the dirt).
