another commercial

Penny has had quite the busy two weeks! As soon as she finished the photo shoot for Seattle Magazine, I got an email from the people who made the Bissell commercial Penny was in over the summer. They wanted her back for another job! So on Wednesday I packed the boys up and we headed to West Seattle to Penny could shoot four scenes for two more product commercials. I didn't get many pictures because I was by myself with both boys and trying to direct Penny at the same time. What you can't see in the pictures below is the gigantic playroom in the other half of this room. It was just our luck that the owner of the house we were shooting at had two little boys a bit older than mine, and we were shooting in their playroom! Oliver and Elliott played quite happily for much of the two hours we were there, making it so much easier for me to work with Penny. Her product videos should be released at the end of February, so I'll be sure to keep you all posted!

fussy

It's hard to believe that this sweet face
can look like this
but it's been happening a lot lately. Elliott and the rest of the boys had the flu for a week and then poor Elliott went straight into teething. Poor baby! I'm glad he's starting to feel better, but the past two weeks have been tough!

Seattle Magazine

My little dog star Penny had yet another opportunity to shine today. Seattle Magazine invited her back for a photo shoot (she also did one back in 2011). The shoot was for the March magazine, so hopefully she'll make the cut! She is such a ham when it comes to these types of things and I swear she just lives for the attention! As soon as she was up on the front porch she was smiling big and acting like she was the main focus of the shoot (she was not) and they asked if I could tone her down. Hah, that would be one cue she doesn't know. Anyway, we both had fun and she enjoyed many treats and ball throwing sessions during the shoot.

It's Raining Cats and Dogs!

Our radio show starts next week! It was originally supposed to start the first Sunday in January but it was delayed a few weeks because the Seahawks kept winning. I'm going to be one of a handful of "experts" along with two others from Ahimsa and I expect to be on the show about once per month. I think my first day on air will be in the beginning of February. For those of you that are not in the Seattle area, you can stream online here. You can see my bio here.

Elliott's Maple Tree

1 year later . . .

airplane train

This wooden airplane we bought Oliver when he could barely sit up has definitely been one of the most used toys. This is the first time both boys have successfully ridden on it together and they were having such a good time I had to get my video camera out.

playing on chairs

Apparently old chairs in new places are a lot of fun! The boys have been having fun with new layout of our house, especially since the spinning office chairs are now on the main level.

The boys have been enjoying their Christmas present from Oma and Grandpa Mark! Elliott especially loves the mic!

Santa and his elf

I've been lagging a bit on the postings lately, we have been so busy around here remodeling and rearranging rooms. I'll post pictures when it's all finished, but the short story is that Nick decided to finish the two upstairs bedrooms right after Christmas and we moved our bedroom and the boys' room upstairs. The two downstairs rooms are now an office and playroom. I'm loving the new arrangement, but we still a lot of things to be unpacked and reorganized. So, I will get the rest of the Christmas pictures and videos up one of these days.

In the meantime, here are some pictures of the boys this morning, having fun with the Christmas decorations one last time before the boxes get packed away downstairs. Oliver loves to pretend he is Santa, sitting in his clothes basket sleigh with his backpack full of toys. Elliott was upset that he wasn't included this morning and Oliver invited him into his sleigh to be his elf. Oliver kept calling him the "cutest elf!" It was so cute!
