16 Weeks!

Oliver is 16 weeks today! He's just as happy as can be. He goes to bed smiling, and wakes up the same way. This week he discovered his feet so he's constantly reaching for them. I'll try to get a picture soon. We've been taking neighborhood walks with his friend Grant from our weekly PEPS group. Not that the babies interact much, but it's fun for the mommies :) And our PEPS group has been fun too. We've met three times now and its fun to hang out with other parents who have babies that are around Oliver's age. This week we took a picture with all the babies on the couch. It was so cute and I'm hoping to get a copy so I can put it up here. He still isn't sleeping for more than 2 hours and 45 minutes in his bed. Now I bring him into our bed after the first time he wakes up, and we're both getting more sleep.

Here are some pictures from the past two weeks:

Long Lashes

Hairdo

Oliver has been sporting a new hairdo lately. It must be the new rage because we've noticed that several of his baby friends are wearing their hair the same way!

Evan and Jim Baer both agree on what Oliver's future career should be: cycling. The onesie Evan gave Oliver for Christmas reads "Future Cyclist".

14 weeks!

Oliver is 14 weeks as of yesterday! He's had a few big changes to his sleep patterns this week. At the beginning of the week, he hit a growth spurt and wanted to eat all the time, even at night. He went from sleeping 5-6 hours at a time down to just 2! So I'm hoping he's about done with that schedule. He also decided he didn't want to be swaddled anymore. The problem is that when he's not swaddled he wakes himself up very easily. He's already getting a little bit better so I'm hoping in a few days he'll be back to sleeping for longer periods. Last night he managed 3 hours before he woke himself up. He's blabbering all the time, from the time he wakes up until the time he falls asleep. It's so cute. If you're lucky enough you might be able to hear him over the phone, that is if he doesn't try to eat my cell phone first. He must be teething because he's drooling all over the place and he likes to suck on his teething rings. He also loves to kick anything that is near his legs, hard. Last night during his bath he was kicking as hard as he could and the kitchen was completely covered in water. He would pause every once in a while to cry because he got water in his eyes, and then go back to kicking furiously.

I'm going to try to get all of the pictures up from the holidays today so there should be a few more posts. Here's one from New Year's Eve. As you can see, we didn't exactly stay up to watch the ball drop. Nick woke up when we took the picture. He's laughing because we have so many pictures of him and Oliver sleeping like this.
